Get a Card

Welcome to Clarkston Independence District Library! To apply for a card as a resident, student, or employee in Clarkston or Independence Township, please bring:

• Current Photo ID (with your name and address)

• Proof of Status (If your ID address is not current, or if you are applying as a student/employee, please bring one of the following):

  • Residents: Utility bill, lease/rental agreement, or vehicle registration.

  • Students: Current Clarkston Student ID or report card, along with proof of address.

  • Employees: A recent paystub from an Independence Township or Clarkston employer.

Note: After applying online, please visit the Circulation Desk with your ID/Documentation to pick up your physical card and finalize your account."
