2018 Adult Art Show

In partnership with the Clarkston Cultural Arts and the Friends of the Library, the Clarkston Independence District Library celebrates local artist with a reception highlighting their work. Adult artist 18 and older, who wish to enter a piece of their art in the show, can stop by the Library for guidelines and details. 

Deadline to enter is Friday, August 17th by 5 pm.

Each Book Club in a Bag contains 10 books and discussion questions for your group to use. Each kit checks out for six weeks. For assistance, please stop by the information desk.

This Month's Recommendation: The Hobbit

The Hobbit is set in a time "between the Dawn of Færie and the Dominion of Men", and follows the quest of home-loving hobbit Bilbo Baggins to win a share of the treasure guarded by Smaug the dragon.
