For 35 years, the community has come together to host this event recognizing outstanding people, organizations, and endeavors that make Clarkston great.  Make a nomination by March 6, 2020!

Categories (Check one)
CITIZEN OF THE YEAR - Individual given of his/her time, energy & talents to improve our Community
YOUTH OF THE YEAR - Same qualification as Citizenof the Year although must be 18 years or younger
ADULT-YOUTH VOLUNTEER - Individual given of his/her time, energy and talents in a volunteer capacity, to help our area young people
BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR - Local business person contributing to make this a better Community to live and do business in
COMMUNITY BEAUTIFICATION/PRESERVATION - Individual, Group, or Business that has made a significant improvement to the appearance of our Community
COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT - Recognizes a Group, Club, or Service Organization's year-long efforts that enhanced the quality of the Clarkston Community
COMMUNITY COLLABORATION - Team Effort: Recognizes a collaborative effort by two or more Individuals, Groups, Clubs or Organizations, including Businesses, Government Agencies, & Schools to improve/enhance our Community

EXPLAIN - Why do you feel your nominee deserves this Award in 600-800 words

GUIDELINES (a) Type clearly; (b) Previous recipients may not be nominated for the same effort for which they have been previously recognized (list available if needed); (c) Anonymous nominations will not be considered; (d) Multiple nominations for 1 person does NOT affect committee’s decision; (e) Nominees are encouraged to attend breakfast, and recipients will be notified ahead; (f) Use concrete examples of activities and services demonstrating how their efforts have helped improve our Community; (g) Be specific, the selection committee can only use written information provided on this form for evaluating who and what initiatives should be recognized. Personal experience or background knowledge by the committee is not permitted.

NOTE: Qualifying activities do not have to be exclusively “volunteer” in nature, except where designated.
